Tell us your Madridista three-peat stories!

It’s a sad week for us Madridistas. We, admittedly, are spoiled. We’ve all gotten used to winning, especially during this specific week of the year. So, after a season where third-place felt like more of a loss than it really should have, the fact that we’re not in the UCL Final this weekend… sucks.

Let’s take a walk down memory lane then, shall we? The first Champions League I ever watched was against Juventus. You know the one — purple kits and Asensio’s end-of-game stunner. My ex and I watched it together on an Arabic stream. He felt bad that I didn’t know what they were saying, but I remember telling him that I knew enough about the game that I didn’t need to understand them to figure out what was going on.

The next year? I watched it with my dad, in my new 2017/2018 third kit while introducing my oldest niece to Real Madrid and watching my dog try to hide from all of my yelling. I hadn’t decided whether or not I was going to watch the final this weekend, but this is less about my game stories, and more about yours.
