Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde appears to be in Zinedine Zidane’s plans for next season given that there are not rumors about his potential departure, not even now that Los Blancos need to sell players. Valverde spoke in an interview with MARCA and said that he likes what the team has been doing in the transfer market.
“I had almost no time to see the signings because I’m playing in the Copa America, but I saw the presentations and I’m happy about Real Madrid’s project, so I hope these signings help the team and do a good job,” he said.
Valverde was asked about whether he will be in the team next season and he revealed his confidence.
“Right now, Zidane trusts me, unless the club tells me otherwise,” added the midfielder.
Rumors suggest that Real Madrid want to sign Paul Pogba and that would add some more competition to the midfield line. Valverde, who is still very young, will be expected to be a reserve next season, but Los Blancos appear to be ready to keep him as Zidane gave him some relevant minutes during the last few games of the 2018-2019 campaign.
