Jorge De Frutos has been officially announced as a Real Valladolid player for next season, joining the team on a season long loan. The new season loanee list is already starting to gather momentum – Acharf will remain at Dortmund, Oscar Rodriguez will have another year at Leganes, and Odegaard is debating whether to join Real Sociedad or Bayern Leverkusen. Jorge De Frutos is the first of what will likely be a fruitful relationship between Valladolid and Real Madrid’s young products, as former Real Madrid Legend Ronaldo Nazario became the President just prior to the start of the last league campaign.

De Frutos, 22, had 7 goals and 5 assists last season in the Segunda B division for Castilla. He is a direct right winger with a startling change of pace and the ability to unbalance defenders 1 v 1. He only spent one season with Castilla having signed for the club in the summer of 2018 from Rayo Majadahonda. His decision to come to Madrid paid dividends as he now has earned an opportunity with a first division squad. It’s not clear what type of role De Frutos will have with Valladolid, but if given the opportunity expect the winger to play without fear and stretch the opposition’s backline.
