Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has publicly confirmed that the club from San Sebastian has held talks to potentially sign Real Madrid’s Martin Odegaard and Borja Mayoral, even though that there’s no agreement.

“We’ve talked with Borja Mayoral and two or three more strikers who have not been reported,” said Aperribay. Mayoral is surely going to leave Real Madrid as he needs minutes and will not get them at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The same thing happens with Martin Odegaard, even though he seems more ready to be a relevant player in La Liga.

“We’ve been talking with Odegaard during the last two or three months,” he added. Real Madrid will need to choose very carefully Odegaard’s next destination. After spending the last two years in the Eredivisie, it’s time for Odegaard to prove his quality in La Liga.

The Norwegian playmaker will turn 21 years old next December but still has time to show that he deserves important minutes in Real Madrid.
