Tottenham Hotspur have offered Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen to Real Madrid, according to a report from MARCA. President Daniel Levy talked to Real Madrid CEO Jose Angel Sanchez and let him know that Eriksen is available, even though the British club is expecting to get at least €70 million for the midfielder, per that same report.
Eriksen’s contract with Tottenham expires in 2020 and that’s why the British club are interested in selling him now, given that the player could ultimately leave as a free agent in just 12 months.
Either way, it seems that Eriksen is no longer on Madrid’s radar. Zinedine Zidane would rather sign Paul Pogba and it seems that Van de Beek is also an option if the French star can’t leave Manchester United, so Tottenham might need to find another club if they really want to sell Christian Eriksen this summer.
Real Madrid now want to sell the players who are not in Zidane’s plans before making the last signings of the summer.
