Real Madrid are ready to spend €100 million to sign Chelsea winger Eden Hazard and the deal could be announced as soon as this Friday, according to a report from MARCA. Hazard will sign a five-year deal with Madrid, per that same report. La Sexta’s Josep Pedrerol reported this Wednesday that both clubs had reached an agreement but it seems that they were discussing some other terms.

Hazard, who will turn 29 years old next January, will be Real Madrid’s main signing this summer. The club already announced Eder Militao and Luka Jovic and appear to be interested in adding a midfielder. However, Hazard seems destined to be the leader of Real Madrid’s offense next season, so this is arguably the most important move the club will make this summer.

Hazard’s contract with Chelsea was going to expire in 2020 and that means that Madrid could’ve signed him as a free agent in just 12 months, but Zidane wanted to build his new team around the Belgian attacker and that’s the reason why Los Blancos ultimately decide to make an effort and spend the money now.
