Thibaut Courtois has only needed to wait one year to reunite with former Chelsea teammate and friend Eden Hazard, whose signing for Real Madrid became official this past Friday. The goalkeeper talked to the press after the win against Kazakhstan and showed a lot of faith in Hazard.
“It’s very nice that we’re together again, he’s my friend. I get along very well with him and also with his family. For Real Madrid he’s going to be fantastic, I believe he will be a difference-maker and I hope we can win many trophies with him,” said Courtois.
It’s clear that Courtois will help Hazard with the rest of the dressing room, although the goalkeeper thinks he’ll fit right in.
“The Spanish guys are so open-minded that he’ll fit in, although it will obviously be even better if he can learn Spanish. He will be very comfortable in our group,” added Courtois.
Hazard will be unveiled as a Real Madrid player next Thursday after signing a five-year deal with Los Blancos, who paid €100 million to Chelsea.
