Real Madrid and Atletico de Madrid will take their rivalry to New York City this summer in the International Champions Cup and Copa90 alongside Relevent Sports Group have produced a very interesting ‘Derby Days’ featuring this Madrid Derby. ‘Derby Days: ICC’s Madrid Derby in NYC’ debuts as a four-part docuseries this summer across multiple digital platforms.

While most fans focus on the rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona —hard to blame them after the last two decades and the excitement of El Clasico—, it’s easy to find some madridistas who think that Madrid’s performances against Atletico are just as important.

Marcos Llorente’s transfer to Atletico de Madrid this summer will add some spice to the Madrid rivalry this season. These two clubs fought very hard for two Champions League titles in just five years, with Real Madrid conquering both Finals very late —Ramos’ equalizer in the 93rd minute back in 2014 and Madrid’s victory in the penalty shootout in 2016—.

With both clubs upgrading their rosters, the upcoming Madrid Derbies will surely be as exciting as those two.
