BREAKING: Zidane to Return to Spain for Personal Reasons

David Bettoni, Zidane’s number two, will lead the sessions until his return

Reports from all outlets in Spain have confirmed that Zinedine Zidane will be leaving Real Madrid’s training camp in Montreal for personal reasons. He will travel back to Spain. David Bettoni, Zidane’s assistant manager, will run the sessions during his absence. It’s not yet clear as to how long Zidane will be gone. Real Madrid’s official website released the following statement:

“Our coach, Zinedine Zidane, is to leave the club’s pre-season base in Montreal for personal reasons. Until he returns, the team’s training sessions will be overseen by his assistant coach, David Bettoni”.

According to sources from Spanish publication, AS, Zidane will not miss Madrid’s first International Champions Cup game in the United States. The first match will take place on Saturday, July 20th, against Bayern Munich in Houston, Texas.
