Real Madrid and Arsenal are set to complete a one-year loan deal for Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to a report from AS. This will be just a regular loan deal with no clauses of any kind involved, meaning that the London-based club will not be able to keep the player after the season.
Ceballos is coming off a brilliant UEFA U21 Euro where he led Spain to win the tournament alongside Napoli’s Fabian Ruiz. While Ceballos is simply not in Zidane’s plans, he clearly has the talent to be a relevant player for Real Madrid in the future, that being the reason why Los Blancos refuse to sell him.
The Premier League is an intriguing destination for Ceballos, whose possession-oriented style of play could struggle at times. However, Arsenal’s Unai Emery could be a very good fit for him and while he will need to fight hard to earn a spot in the starting lineup, the gunners are a competitive team and a good place for Ceballos to keep improving and developing as a player.
