Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos talked to the team’s official TV channel and shared his thoughts about the current pre-season.

“We’ll be playing the next few games in order to be ready to fight for all titles, as we always do. The most important thing in these first games is to get good momentum and feelings. We will be a bit tired for sure because we’re training so hard. In fact, I’m still tired after today’s training session!” said Kroos.

It’s been five years since the German midfielder was unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“It was such a special day for me. It’s always special to be in the world’s best club, time has gone very fast and we’ve been successful these five years by winning three Champions League titles. I’ve improved a lot as a player. I joined Madrid when I was 24 years old and I think i did well. All the titles we won and the number of games I played are very positive and I’m very happy,” concluded the German midfielder.

Kroos signed a contract extension with the club this summer and will be expected to be an undisputed starter and lead Real Madrid’s midfield this upcoming season.
