Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane talked in press conference as his team gets ready to face Bayern Munich in what will be their first game of the ongoing preseason stage. There, Zidane addressed the rumors about Bale and Pogba.
“Bale is not a problem. I will never say that one of my players is a problem. Anything can happen, he’s under contract. We’ll see. Nothing has changed since last June. Nothing at all,” said Zidane about the Welshman, who could very well stay in the Spanish capital unless Los Blancos receive a decent offer.
Real Madrid are trying to sign Paul Pogba away from Manchester United. Zidane wants to coach the French midfielder next season but it looks like Madrid will have to work hard.
“I always say the same thing and I’m going to look like a fool. The club knows what we want. There’s still time. We’re focused on these games and we’ll see what happens later,” said Zidane, implying that Real Madrid are indeed interested in signing Pogba.
The French coach also talked about Japanese sensation Take Kubo, who has been impressing the fans every time Real Madrid publish a video with his highlights.
“He’s fine, he has quality and he’s embracing the work we’re doing. It looks like he’s been with us for a very long time. i can’t tell you if he will play tomorrow or not, we’ll see what we can do to play everybody,” said Zidane.
The coach was also very happy about having Eden Hazard.
“He needed a club like Real Madrid. This club has something special and the players know it. I signed for Madrid when I was 29 years old and I still improved and had a great time. The same thing happens with Eden, we think he can still improve. He’s a decisive player who scores and makes the difference, he’s proved it time and time again. Now he’s a Real Madrid player and we’ll take advantage of that,” concluded Zidane.
