Dani Ceballos, fresh off of winning the u21 European Championships this summer, is set to join English Premier League side, Arsenal, on a one year loan deal. The agreement between Real Madrid and Arsenal is set to be finalized today with the player traveling to London as early as tomorrow. According to Spanish publication, AS, the deal is all done with Ceballos completing his medical tomorrow. There will be no option to buy, as both the club and the player see his future at the Bernabeu.
Ceballos had many offers on the table with reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan. Unai Emerey was said to be vital in convincing the player of the Gunners project, having spoken with Ceballos and his family on multiple occasions. The central midfielder let it be known after the u21 European Championships, where he once again stole the show, that he wanted to feel important and play at least 40 games this upcoming season.
Ceballos will join a growing list of loanee’s for next season: Oscar Rodriguez at Leganes, Martin Odegaard at Real Sociedad, Achraf at Broussia Dortmund, Jorge De Frutos at Real Valladolid, and Sergio Reguilon at Sevilla.
