The Wolves do not have an option to buy Vallejo after this season, so the defender will return to the club next summer.
It will be crucial for Vallejo to stay healthy and even if he manages to do just that, the Premier League will be a difficult place for Vallejo to succeed, given the level of physicality used in the British league.
Vallejo’s departure all but confirms that Nacho will stay in Real Madrid as the fourth center-back, with Ramos, Varane and Militao ahead of him in the rotation. Vallejo performed well during the last few games of the 2018-2019 season yet Real Madrid thought that a loan deal will help him get the minutes he needs to keep developing as a player and gain the experience he needs to contribute in the future.
