Real Madrid completed Thursday’s training session in Valdebebas and Gareth Bale rejoined the squad after missing the team’s last two preseason games against Tottenham and Fenerbahce.

Zidane revealed that Bale wasn’t fit, that being the reason why the Welshman didn’t travel with the rest of the team to play the Audi Cup in Germany. Madrid are trying to sell Bale but it seems that the Premier League is now his only remaining option, given that he doesn’t want to take a salary cut and that his current €17 million/year will be tough to match for any club outside of the British league.

Other than that, Luka Jovic trained on the field and looks close to completing his recovery. Casemiro, James and Militao are still training apart while Brahim, Asensio, Mendy and Courtois are still injured.

The next few days of training will be important for Madrid as they will kick off their 2019-2020 Liga season against Celta on Saturday, August 17th.
