Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo talked to the press and shared some news about Neymar’s potential departure from the French club to join either Real Madrid or Barcelona this summer.
“Talks have advanced than before, but there’s no agreement. We’ll see what happens,” said Leonardo without mentioning neither Barça nor Madrid.
Reports from the Spanish press indicate that Barcelona and Los Blancos are battling over the signing of the Brazilian star. AS suggests that PSG don’t want Neymar to join Barça and that would apparently give Madrid the edge, although it seems that Barcelona have submitted a solid €50 million + Coutinho + Semedo offer to complete Neymar’s return.
There’s still time for all three clubs involved to complete this transfer. Neymar is a quality player with a big contract, so if Madrid really want to sign the Brazilian star they will need to offer him that kind of deal, which could be risky if the current players on the squad decide to ask for a new contract as well.
