Real Betis are interested in a loan deal for Real Madrid attacker Mariano Diaz, according to a report from MARCA. Mariano is not in Zidane’s plans this season after the signing of Luka Jovic, so Madrid will have to find him a new club before the end of the current transfer window.
The striker has lost the number 7 he wore last season and has been assigned number 24. It’s clear that Madrid want to part ways with the player, although Mariano has reportedly rejected several offers to leave the club throughout the summer because he thinks he can compete for a spot with Benzema and Jovic.
Betis would be a very interesting club for Mariano. They have a quality team with players like Fekir or Canales, so Mariano could very well be the leader of their offensive line if Betis decide to submit an offer to sign the attacker on a loan deal. Madrid would rather sell him in order to increase their budget, but that might not be a realistic option with only two weeks until the transfer window closes.
