Ajax coach Ten Hag has talked to the press and shared his thoughts on the situation regarding midfielder Donny Van de Beek, who appeared ready to complete his move to Real Madrid as soon as Ajax advanced to the next round of the Champions League Qualifiers.
“I guess and I hope he stays with us this season, if he ends up leaving I will hear what Overmars has to say,” said Ten Hag.
Reports from Spanish TV station La Sexta suggest that Real Madrid will postpone this transfer until the summer of 2020 “unless a departure happens.”

Coach Zinedine Zidane refused to talk about new signings after Real’s 2-2 draw in Roma last night, so it seems that Real Madrid could very well face the upcoming season with the roster they currently have, barring the potential arrival of Neymar.
Zidane wanted to improve his midfield line all summer long yet Madrid have sold Kovacic, Ceballos and Llorente without signing an obvious replacement, meaning that the current midfield could struggle if a single injury happens. That’s where Van de Beek would’ve been helpful, but in the end it looks like Madrid might be patient and wait one more year.
