Real Madrid attacker Brahim Diaz has recovered from his injury and completed Thursday’s training session with the rest of the squad, just two days ahead of the team’s season opener against Celta Vigo.
The attacker suffered a hamstring injury in the first week of the preseason and has been out of the team until today. Muscle injuries are always tricky so it made sense for Real Madrid’s medical staff to be patient with his recovery.
Brahim could be a strong candidate to start in Real’s right wing after Asensio’s ACL injury. There were rumors suggesting that he could leave the club on a loan deal this summer yet coach Zinedine Zidane seems to like what the young attacker brings to the table and even gave him a relevant role during the last few games of the 2018-2019 season.
He has not featured in a single preseason game and has missed several weeks of preseason training, so Brahim will clearly need to improve his conditioning before being able to make an impact. However, once he’s totally fit, he might be Zidane’s favorite option to start on the right wing.
