Real Madrid attacker Luka Jovic talked in an interview with Novosti and revealed that coach Zinedine Zidane believes in him.
“He believes in me, that hasn’t changed all this time. I’m learning from him every single day and I’m happy because he’s at the top of the world of football both as a player and also as a coach,” said Jovic.
The striker was rumored to be on his way out of Madrid on a loan deal but Jovic quite simply didn’t believe those reports.
“I laughed at those reports. Media always talk about those stories. I’m used to those comments ever since my career started, I accepted the fact that those rumors can happen. Only time will tell what’s true,” explained Jovic.
The Serbian player also told what it feels like to work with Karim Benzema in training.
“He’s a very interesting attacker, he’s got a lot more experience than me and I try to learn from him. One of the best things in football is when you can play alongside the greatest players while you’re still young, so you can learn from them,” said Jovic.
Jovic made his official debut with Real Madrid this past Saturday but will work hard to get more relevant minutes down the road.
“It’s a fantastic feeling to play the first official game for the world’s greatest club. I felt well, we won and we proved we’re a team. I’m expecting more minutes throughout the season. A time will come when we will show our real strength and what we can do,” concluded the attacker.
