Real Madrid host Real Valladolid in the second game of their 2019-2020 La Liga season, which will be the first home game of this campaign. Los Blancos will be without Luka Modric, who was sent off against Celta Vigo and is suspended for one game. Modric’s absence means that Zidane has three options to start in the midfield if he decides to keep playing with a 4-3-3 formation: James, Isco and Valverde.

Considering who’s got more minutes during the preseason, Isco seems to have the edge. He played well coming off the bench against Celta and is probably Zidane’s favorite out of those three reserves mentioned above, but Fede Valverde also has a chance to play if Zidane wants to be a bit more conservative.

Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois, Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kroos, Isco, Bale, Vinicius, Benzema.

Real Valladolid predicted XI: Masip, Moyano, Salisu, Olivas, Nacho, Antoñito, Mohamed, Michel, Plano, Guardiola, Unal.
