Sergio Reguilón was forced to leave the pitch in tears in the 20th minute of Sevilla’s La Liga encounter against Granada. He had clashed heads with right back Víctor Díaz minutes earlier and had tried to stay on after moving to the sidelines to get treatment.

But it was clear that Reguilón was in no condition to play and was stretchered off the field soon after. Reguilón looked absolutely shattered and AS is reporting that he will spend the night under observation in Granada’s general hospital.

This horrible news comes after Reguilón had a brilliant debut with Sevilla, scoring a goal and providing an assist to secure a 2-0 win against Espanyol. One can only hope that Reguilón has suffered nothing serious and that he will be back on the pitch in no time.
Víctor Díaz also came out of the clash of heads badly, but was allowed to continue to play when he covered his cut up with a swimming cap.
Sevilla ended the game with a 1-0 victory thanks to a Joan Jordán goal on the counter-attack.
