Real Madrid host Valladolid in what will be the first home game of the 2019-2020 season for Los Blancos. Considering how difficult last season was, it will be interesting to see the fans’ reaction and attitude towards some of the players who ended up staying in the squad.

Valladolid earned a surprising win against Betis last weekend and Madrid will need to be very careful given how much Los Blancos struggled at home against manageable teams last season.

Madrid will be without Luka Modric for this game. The Croatian midfielder was sent off in the season opener against Celta and now coach Zinedine Zidane will be expected to give Isco the chance to start in the midfield. James Rodriguez and Fede Valverde are also competing for that same spot but it seems that Isco has the edge if Zidane goes for the classic 4-3-3 formation he used against Celta. The French coach could also try a 4-4-2 with Vazquez and Vinicius on the wings and Benzema and Bale upfront.

Either way, this should be a fairly interesting game for a Real Madrid team which showed encouraging signs against Celta.
