Real Madrid published an injury report about James Rodriguez, who apparently picked up a calf injury during Saturday’s game against Valladolid.

After the tests carried out today on our player James Rodríguez by the Real Madrid Medical Services he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the right soleus. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

This is yet another muscle injury for Real Madrid’s players. James completed a solid performance on his return to the team after two seasons and could eventually compete for a starting spot on Real’s right wing. However, he will now miss the next few weeks with his calf injury, knowing that muscle injuries are always tricky.

James will surely miss Real Madrid’s trip to Villarreal this weekend and could return after the FIFA break, when Los Blancos host Levante at the Bernabeu on September 14th, although coach Zinedine Zidane will not rush him back.
