Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas is ready to complete his move to Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from Costa Rican newspaper La Nacion which was later confirmed by Marca and As. La Nacion says that Navas’ deal could become official in the next few days.
This move was reported last week but it lost a bit of traction with captain Sergio Ramos suggesting that the goalkeeper was going to stay. However, it’s clear that Navas wants to play and he will not do so if he stays in the Spanish capital, so a few seasons in Paris as a starting goalkeeper competing with Alphonse Areola make sense for both PSG and Navas himself.
Navas’ departure would leave Madrid in a tough spot, though. Lunin will spend the season on a loan deal in Valladolid and Los Blancos would need to sign an experienced goalkeeper to be Courtois’ backup just in case the Belgian player picks up an injury.
