Van de Beek: “Real Madrid and Ajax are talking, there’s interest”

Ajax midfielder Donny Van de Beek appears to be Real Madrid’s most realistic chance at adding some depth to their current midfield line. The Dutch player completed a very good performance for Ajax this Saturday by scoring a goal and delivering an assist as well and then talked to the press about the rumors saying that he could sign for Real Madrid during the next few days.

“They —Madrid— are in talks with Ajax, there’s interest, I can’t say anything else,” said Van de Beek when asked about his future.

The midfielder then confirmed that his agent has already had conversations with Real Madrid.

“Yeah, no doubt that my agent has talked with them. It is what it is, but I’d rather talk about football,” he added.

Van de Beek revealed days ago that Madrid are interested in his signing but then said that reporters are “going too fast” when they say that an agreement has been reached.

However, it looks like Real Madrid and Ajax will complete the transfer fairly soon and that Van de Beek will become Madrid’s newest signing.
