Ramos’ agent: “I hope Sergio can end his career in Real Madrid, that’s his wish”

Sergio Ramos’ brother and agent Rene Ramos has talked to the press about a potential contract extension for the defender, whose contract with Real Madrid expires in the summer of 2021.

“I hope he can end his career in Real Madrid. That has always been his wish and the club’s wish also,” said Rene Ramos.

Los Blancos and Ramos seem set to negotiate a new deal, given that the club usually likes to extend their players’ contracts when there’s less than two years before the deals expire.

Ramos will turn 34 years in 2020 and while he’s already entered his decline as a defender, Madrid would be wise to extend his contract so that he can help the club for a few more years, especially now that the market for center-backs is so thin.

Still, negotiations with Ramos’ agent have always been very tough, so nothing should be taken for granted between the defender and Real Madrid.
