Another injury for Real Madrid. Midfielder Fede Valverde didn’t train with the squad this Friday and reports from Marca and As indicate that he will miss the upcoming games against Levante and Paris Saint-German with a muscle tear.
Zidane didn’t talk about Valverde’s status but the Uruguayan midfielder has not completed the last two training sessions, meaning that he probably picked up this small injury during the FIFA break.
Valverde’s injury means that Casemiro and Toni Kroos are the only two pure midfielders available for Zinedine Zidane. James Rodriguez could also play in the midfield if needed but he just came back from his own injury and might not be ready to feature for 90 minutes this Saturday.
Los Blancos are in a tough spot and they’ll visit both PSG and Sevilla next week, so it will be very important for Zidane to find some answers for his midfield line, given that a Casemiro-Kroos duo might not be enough to contain PSG and Sevilla.
