Real Madrid announce squad for La Liga match against Levante

Real Madrid published the squad list for Saturday’s home game against Levante —Santiago Bernabeu, 13:00 CEST—.

Goalkeepers: Courtois, Areola and Altube.

Defenders: Carvajal, Militão, Sergio Ramos, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo and Mendy.

Midfielders: Kroos, Casemiro and James.

Forwards: Hazard, Benzema, Lucas Vázquez, Jović, Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo.

Toni Kroos, Casemiro and James Rodriguez are the team’s only midfielders in this list and that’s problematic considering that James just came back from his injury and also that he is not a pure midfielder.

A 4-4-2 formation for this home match seems likely, quite possibly with Vinicius and Lucas Vazquez on the wings so that their work rate helps Kroos and Casemiro. Hazard is back with the squad and seems ready to make his official debut with the team, although Zidane will likely keep him on the bench so that he can be completely ready for the away match against Paris Saint-Germain.
