Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will most likely spend another season on the bench, as Real Valladolid coach Sergio Gonzalez confirmed that he will give Masip the chance to play in La Liga.

“I trust Masip a lot and unless something weird and extraordinary happens Lunin will have to wait for the Copa del Rey,” said Sergio.
Lunin was a reserve for Leganes all season long last year and Madrid decided to send him on another loan deal this summer when it appeared that Keylor Navas was going to accept being a reserve. Lunin could’ve been Courtois’ backup and Navas’ departure forced Madrid to sign Areola on a loan deal.
Lunin is 20 years old and needs minutes to gain experience and improve as a goalkeeper, something he might not get for a second straight season. If Lunin ends up being a reserve in Valladolid, Real Madrid will need to find him minutes next year.
