Real Madrid star Eden Hazard made his debut with the club this Saturday during the home win against Levante. The Belgian attacker had a good chance to score his first goal wearing the white jersey but his shot was saved by Andres Fernandez.
“I always wanted to play here and now I hope this is the start of something beautiful. I want to enjoy football with my teammates and keep playing matches. This is a beautiful stadium and the fans always support the team,” said Hazard after the game.
The attacker missed the first three games with a thigh injury and explained that he needs more time to improve his form and show what he can really do.
“I’m happy because I was able to step on the field and get the win. When you come back after an injury it’s tough to pick up the pace and you need some time. What’s important today was the win and we did a good job,” said Hazard.
He also explained how important this win was for the team after the last two draws.
“After the last two games we needed to win at home. 3-2 was a big tight but we got the win, which we wanted to do to improve our confidence. Now we have two important games against PSG and Sevilla, we’re ready for what’s coming,” concluded the star.
