Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy talked in an interview with Canal+ and explained why he decided not to sign for PSG in 2017.

"It's true that I had the chance to sign for PSG back in 2017, but in all honesty I just wasn't interested. I had already made the decision to sign for Lyon and PSG's offer arrived later, which means that they weren't as confident as Lyon," reveals Mendy just two days before visiting PSG's Parc des Princes.

The Frenchman also said that playing for Real Madrid is "a dream come true" and revealed that he was very nervous during his unveiling at the Bernabeu.

"I was so stressed, for the first time in my life that was what I was feeling. I arrived in there, saw the fans and thought 'oh yeah' ...", explains the left back.

Mendy completed a very encouraging debut for Real Madrid during the visit to Villarreal. It appears that he will be a very reliable replacement for Marcelo, and could even compete for a spot in the XI throughout the season.
