Real Madrid completed a poor performance on their visit to PSG's Parc des Princes and couldn't do better than a 3-0 loss. PSG didn't even need Neymar, Cavani or Mbappe to score three times and the French side proved that Real Madrid's issues are very real.
- It's time to worry about Dani Carvajal. The Spanish right back completed yet another abysmal performance and that position might be the team's biggest need right now, given that Odriozola doesn't seem ready to play either. Coach Zinedine Zidane might need to play Militao or Nacho in that spot if Carvajal keeps underperforming like he is.
- Real Madrid's problems are also related to basic tactics. PSG had three players to go after Casemiro and Toni Kroos because James -who is playing well and shouldn't be blamed- was deployed as an attacking midfielder. Needless to say, the French side just dominated Casemiro and Kroos, who couldn't control the game nor create chances for their teammates. It's clear that Real Madrid don't have a deep midfield at the moment, but Zidane should have found a way to get the ball out of Real Madrid's third of the field other than Varane's through balls.
- Sunday's match in Sevilla is now crucial. It's only September, but Real Madrid simply can't afford another loss or a poor performance when they visit Sevilla next Sunday. Yes, they are ahead of Barcelona in the table and Los Blancos managed to beat a mediocre Levante side -just barely- last Saturday. However, Madrid's only solid performance this season was against Celta on the season opener. Madrid need to turn things around very soon. This will be a very, very long season otherwise.
