Real Madrid midfielders Isco Alarcon and Luka Modric completed Thursday’s training session with the rest of the squad and will be available when Los Blancos visit Atletico de Madrid for the Madrid Derby this Saturday.
Isco and Modric have recovered from their injuries and their return will give coach Zinedine Zidane two more options for the midfield line. Real Madrid only had Casemiro, James and Valverde for that spot and while Modric and Isco could need some time before they are able to play 90 minutes, it’s clear that they will be ready to come off the bench if needed.
Either way, it’s likely that Zidane keeps starting Casemiro, James and Valverde in the midfield. That trio of players completed a solid performance against Sevilla and the French coach will almost surely give them another chance to start until Modric or Isco gain some momentum and improve their conditioning after their injuries.
