Real Madrid visit Atletico Madrid in the first official Madrid Derby of the season. These two teams met in New Jersey for the International Champions Cup this summer and Atletico dismantled Real for a 3-7 score, so Los Blancos will clearly want to earn some redemption.

Unluckily enough for Zinedine Zidane, Marcelo won’t be available for this game even though he completed Friday’s training session with the rest of the squad. Nacho will have to play in the left flank of Madrid’s defensive line because of Mendy’s injury and that’s far from an ideal scenario for Los Blancos.

Other than that, Modric has recovered and could start in the midfield, although Zidane will likely use him off the bench as the Croatian player might not be ready to feature for 90 minutes.

Real Madrid are leading the table with Atletico one point behind, so this match could be crucial later in the season. Don’t miss it!
