UEFA have named Bulgarian referee Georgi Kabakov as the man in charge of Real Madrid’s upcoming home game against Club Brugge, which will be played on Tuesday at 19:00 CEST. This will be the first time Kabakov referees a Real Madrid game.
Per Realmadrid.com.
Kabakov made his Champions League debut on match day 6 of last year’s edition, overseeing Valencia-Manchester United at the Mestalla. The Belgian official has also taken charge of six matches in the final stages of the Europa League, among them a Bruges clash in the last-sixteen of the 2018/19 season.
Real Madrid will be forced to get the three points in this home game after losing 3-0 when they visited Paris Saint-Germain for the first game of the 2019-2020 Champions League edition.
Los Blancos have gained momentum after that loss in France with two wins against Sevilla and Osasuna and a solid draw at the Wanda Metropolitano against Atletico de Madrid.
