Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior talked in press conference ahead of his expected debut with the Brazilian national team against either Colombia or Peru. Vinicius shared his thoughts on his new position on the right wing.

“In every club, right-footers usually like to play on the left wing, like Hazard. It happens here too. Every player has a different skill set and in the end the coach is the one who has to make the final decision. It wasn’t easy to start playing on the right wing but now I’m adapting well to that new position. I’m training and asking Zidane to play me there. Left or right, what’s important and helpful for me is to play, both for Madrid and for the national team,” explained Vinicius.

The young attacker has indeed struggled ever since the pre-season training camp started. He seems to have lost some of his confidence and it will be important for him to complete some good performances on the right wing.

Vinicius also explained how he’s feeling during his first training camp with Brazil.

“It’s all part of the path. When I was playing so well, in the best moment of my career, I got injured and I couldn’t come, but I knew that was part of God’s plan and my family told me that the right time would come. Here I am, I am extremely happy,” said the winger.

The promising attacker also explained his career. A year ago, he was only a Castilla player and now he’s a very important player for both Brazil and Real Madrid.

“I’m here and I’m just 19 years old. I had a good season with Real Madrid in my first year in Europe, so I’m happy about my career and also thankful to those who help me in Madrid like Casemiro and Marcelo. They always supported me so that I could do my best,” concluded Vinicius.
