Tactical writing and tactics in general, can often be filled with jargon — a lot of jargon. Reading through articles from certain sites can make it feel like you’re studying an academic paper. Often times, much of this jargon is unnecessary and simply serves to artificially elevate the intellect of the writer. However, many footballing terms exist for a reason, and understanding some of the most commonly used terms can be useful in enhancing your knowledge of the game.
