Getafe coach admits interest in Brahim Diaz

The young player still doesn’t want to leave the club on a loan deal, according to reports from the Spanish press.

Getafe coach Jose Bordalas talked to the press and admitted their interest in signing Real Madrid wonder kid Brahim Diaz on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

“Right now I can’t say anything because there’s not a lot to talk about. The signings depend on the club and the player. A player of his level raises the level of any given club, that’s for sure, but we’re happy with the players we have and we’ll see how it goes,” said Bordalas.

Getafe football director Angel Martin said weeks ago that adding Brahim to their roster would be “appealing.”

However, reports from the Spanish press indicate that Brahim wants to stay in Madrid to keep working for a chance to get relevant minutes, even though he’s been missing most squad lists ever since the season started.

Brahim is definitely a player with the potential and one the club is simply not willing to let go permanently. A loan deal would be great for him even if it’s just for the remainder of the season, but in the end it will be the player’s decision.
