Tacón will face Barça in Ciudad Real Madrid today at 16:30 CET. They will play in Campo 11 and it will be streamed both in Real Madrid TV and Barça TV.
Las blancas faced Barcelona in their first Primera Iberdrola game back in August. The result was a degrading 9-1 defeat for the Madrid team, who wore the Real Madrid crest on their backs (at the bottom of their number) for the first and only time so far.
Barça Femení are leaders and still unbeaten in the league, having won every game except one away draw against Rayo Vallecano. Tacón have improved greatly since they last saw each other, but is it enough to challenge the strongest side in the country and one of the best in Europe? We will find out soon.
Injuries/Suspensions
Because she is not in the squad list, we can deduce that Daiane is injured. However, the club doesn’t release medical reports so her unavailability could be due to something else. The two Swedes, Kosovare Asllani and Sofia Jakobsson, are fully recovered and have been training with the team the whole week.
In the Barcelona side Vicky Losada, Caroline Graham Hansen and Andrea Falcón are injured.
There are no suspensions for this match.
Squad List
CD Tacón: Yohana, Valles, Peter, Samara, Esther, Marina Martín, Ohale, Thaisa, Kaci, Malena Ortiz, Gema Prieto, Ainoa, Asllani, Jakobsson, Jessica Martínez, Parti Carballo, Chioma Ubogagu and Lorena.
FC Barcelona: Paños, Van der Gragt, Mapi, Melanie, Jenni Hermoso, Marta Torrejón, Mariona, Hamraoui, Alexia, Patri Guijarro, Tajonar, Aitana Bonmatí, Leila, Pereira, Crnogorcevic, Candela, Oshoala, Martens and Codina.
Potential XIs
CD Tacón: Valles; Samara, Ohale, Ainoa, Peter; Lorena, Kaci, Thaisa, Chioma; Asllani, Jakobsson.
Seeing David Aznar’s strong preference of system over players and the glowing result against Sevilla, he could favour Jessica Martínez over Asllani. The Paraguayan attacker fits his preferred classic 4-4-2 better than the Swede, who has been benched before for this reason.
FC Barcelona: Paños; Torrejón, Pereira, Mapi, Leila; Bonmati, Guijarro, Putellas; Martens, Hermoso, Mariona.
