Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema completed a portion of Thursday’s training session with his teammates and seems set to be available when Los Blancos take on Sevilla this Saturday —16:00 CEST—.
Benzema missed the recent Spanish Supercup with a small, undisclosed injury. Real Madrid never published an injury report, which confirms that it never was a major issue. Still, Zidane’s men will have a very tough schedule in February and the French coach will not want to risk Benzema if he isn’t 100% ready to go.
Sevilla are a quality team who have been performing very well during the first half of the season, so Benzema, being the team’s leading scorer, would be crucial for Real Madrid in this game.
Los Blancos will be without Fede Valverde for this game after the midfielder was sent off during the Spanish Supercup Final against Atletico. Sergio Ramos will also miss the game with an ankle injury picked up in that very same game.
