Real Madrid Terminate Jorge de Frutos’s Loan Spell At Valladolid And Send Him To Rayo Vallecano

First it was Andriy Lunin, and now it’s Jorge de Frutos who leaves Real Valldolid earlier than anticipated.

None of the players sent to Valladolid on loan this season — Lunin, de Frutos, and Javi Sanchez — have played any significant minutes. Lunin was a back-up to Jordi Masip in nets, and Javi Sanchez has been injured for chunks of the season (but not playing when he’s healthy either). De Frutos was the least coveted of the bunch, so perhaps it’s ironic that he was the only one of the three who received a few minutes in La Liga.

Nevertheless, de Frutos now goes to Rayo Vallecano for the remainder of the season to join Paco Jemez’s team on loan.

That leaves two players who are still out on loan this season, who may still move to a different club: Jesus Vallejo and Javi Sanchez. Wolves coach Nuno Espírito Santo has already admitted publicly that Vallejo’s loan stint just hasn’t worked out; and Javi Sanchez is too good to be on the bench for an entire season. It should be interesting to see what the club decides with those two by the end of the transfer window.
