Tacón faced their first away match of 2020 after having two extremely different outcomes in their latest two home games: a confident 5 - 1 win against Sevilla and a disappointing 0 - 6 loss against Barça.
Las Blancas went head-to-head against Sporting de Huelva today, but as it was an away match, it wasn’t possible to stream it.
After Ana Valles’s disappointing performance last week, David Aznar gave goalkeeper Yohana a chance between the posts. It looks like the team maintained their customary 4-4-2 formation with Jakobsson and Lorena up top. Ainoa, who has been used as a centre-back for the most part of the season, was moved up to the right flank leaving Ohale and Daiane as central defenders.

Tacón racked up nine corner kicks on the first half, but weren’t able to capitalize on them. Thaisa finally opened the scoresheet for Tacón at the 48th minute. Sporting de Huelva’s Patri Ojeda equalized at the 63rd minute but Jakobsson gave Las Blancas the lead again just five minutes after. The Swedish attacker assisted Thaisa, scored, and even earned a last-minute penalty that was netted by her compatriot Kosovare Asllani. Just another day at the office for Sofia Jakobsson.
Las Blancas stand ninth in the League and will play EDF Logroño at Ciudad Real Madrid next Sunday, January 26th at 16:30 CET.
