Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane talked to the media in the pre-match press conference. Los Blancos will face Unionistas de Salamanca this Wednesday in the Copa del Rey’s Round of 32 and Zidane said his team is ready.
“We’re fully focused. This is an important competition and we’re ready for tomorrow’s game. We’re mentally prepared and we know where we’re going to play. It’s our duty to be ready,” said Zidane.
The coach all but confirmed that right-back Alvaro Odriozola will leave the club on a loan deal, most likely to Bayern Munich.
“he has an option to leave the club, so let’s wait a little. Anything can happen. It’s not official yet. What I can say is that I will not let a player go to sign another,” said the Frenchman.
Zidane seemed to be happy about the signing of Reinier, which was confirmed this Monday.
“We know he is a player for the future. He’s not here yet and we have to be patient. We will see what we do once he get here. He’s a technical player but I’d rather wait and see him here. Let’s stay calm,” said Zidane.
James and Bale seem to be ready to make their return to the squad after missing the last few games.
“I count on them, they weren’t available the other day but now they are,” concluded Zidane, suggesting that they will play against Unionistas.
