Real Madrid held one last training session on Tuesday before their Copa del Rey clash on Wednesday, where they will play against Unionistas de Salamanca at Las Pistas del Helmántico. The match, a single-elimination round-of-16 melee, is clearly being taken seriously by Zinedine Zidane, who called up a very strong squad devoid of the usual Castilla players who make up the squads for these early Copa clashes.
The training, which was held at Real Madrid City, saw Alvaro Odriozola stay indoors rather than train outside on the pitch with his teammates. It’s heavily reported now that Odriozola is on his way out on a loan deal to Bayern Munich. Zidane alluded to Alvaro’s departure in the presser on Tuesday, and Arancha Rodriguez reported that Bayern is going to be the landing spot. Both Kiyan and Matt broke down the inevitable loan deal on today’s loan-tracker podcast.
Sergio Ramos also trained indoors today, while Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard continued their recovery programs.

There are a lot of fans who want to replace Odriozola for Achraf for defensive purposes and boy are they in for a surprise once they realize how much of a defensive liability Achraf has been over the past 2 seasons at Dortmund.
