The 19-year old winger will join Deportivo A Coruña on a loan deal.

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Malaga wonder kid Hugo Vallejo. Los Blancos have paid €300,000 to complete the deal and Vallejo will play for Deportivo A Coruña the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.

Vallejo is a promising winger who began the season being a regular starter for Malaga. However, the club and his agent couldn’t reach an agreement and ultimately that as the end of his relevant minutes in the Segunda Division. His contract with Malaga was set to expire next summer and Real Madrid decided to get involved and secure his signing.

Vallejo is a low-risk, high-potential kind of player. There’s a chance he never actually makes his debut with Real Madrid but at the same time, Los Blancos paid a very small fee, so it’s probably worth it just in case he reaches his potential and becomes an important player in the future.

It’s clear that he lacks the experience to contribute on a competitive team consistently, so it will be interesting to see if he gets any quality minutes in Deportivo, who are trying to avoid relegation to Segunda B this season.
