Real Madrid visit Valladolid this Sunday hoping to get the three points and take advantage of Barcelona’s 2-0 loss against Valencia. Los Blancos will be without Dani Carvajal, who is suspended after seeing his fifth yellow card last weekend, so coach Zinedine Zidane will have to trust either Nacho or Militao for the right side of the defensive line.
Valladolid offers Madrid the perfect opportunity for Zidane’s men to make a statement and build a three-point lead in the table. Sergio’s side managed to escape their visit to the Bernabeu last August with a 2-2 draw, but Los Blancos have made some key improvements during the last few months and appear to be on the right path to contend for trophies this season.
Still, Madrid will have to take this game very seriously if they want to win. Away wins in La Liga are never easy and Valladolid will surely try to exploit Madrid’s lack of firepower.
