The club do not want to reinforce a direct rival still competing in all three competitions

Real Madrid will not allow Dani Ceballos to move from Arsenal to Valencia in the winter transfer window. According to a report from Marca, Real Madrid have no intention of reinforcing a direct rival — Valencia are still alive in all three competitions — La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa Del Rey. Dani Ceballos seems determined to leave Arsenal before the window closes in a bid to obtain more playing time ahead of the European Championships this summer. A return to his boyhood and hometown club, Real Betis, could be his last opportunity to find an exit out of Arsenal and one which Real Madrid would see more favorably.

Dani Ceballos has not played for Arsenal since the 6th of November — nearing three months without a game. Injury and managerial changes have been major factors behind his lack of playing time, but now fit, the Andalusian midfielder is desperate to get back on the pitch. With less than a week remaining in the winter window, Ceballos future will be sorted out shortly.
