Real Madrid have published their squad list for Saturday’s Madrid Derby against Atletico, which will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu —16:00 CET—.
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Courtois, Areola and Altube.
Defenders: Carvajal, Militão, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo and Mendy.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde, James and Isco.
Forwards: Benzema, Lucas Vázquez, Jović and Vinicius.
As expected, Eden Hazard has not made the list and will not be available even though he completed Thursday and Friday’s training session with the rest of the squad. Hazard is healthy again but will need some time before he can actually play relevant minutes in such a tough game like the ones against Atletico.
Real Madrid are leading the table and will try their best to beat Atletico, who have been mediocre this season and sit 10 points behind Madrid in La Liga’s standings. Simeone’s men might be playing poorly lately, but they always give Madrid a tough time, so Zidane’s men should not take this match lightly.
