Today marked the first training session of October, as well as the initial stages of preparation of Real Madrid’s upcoming game against Levante this weekend.
Zinedine Zidane gave the starters against Valladolid a separate routine from the rest of the team which focused on recovery. The rest of the squad, meanwhile, worked on tactical drills which included pressing, possession, and passing exercises. The session concluded with scrimmages on reduced-sized pitches across Real Madrid City, as well as shooting drills.
Updates on player recovery
Eder Militao trained separately from the group, both outside on the grass and indoors in the gym. Toni Kroos, Eden Hazard, and Mariano Diaz continued their recovery process behind the scenes.
Managing Madrid things
Last night we had an awesome live post-game podcast on Zoom, where Kiyan Sobhani and Euan McTear broke down the win against Valladolid in front of a live virtual audience. Audio from that podcast can be found here.
